Poseidon Systems, LLC is pleased to announce that it has completed its transition to the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard and has received its certification from NQA.
“The original implementation of the ISO 9001 standard was driven by our desire to provide our customers with the best possible products, services, and support,” said Ryan Brewer, Vice President of Engineering. “The upgrade to the 2015 standard represents a reaffirmation of our commitment to our customers.”
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. It is the most widely used QMS standard in the world, with over 1 million certificates issued to organizations in 195 countries. ISO 9001 provides a framework and set of principles that ensure a common-sense approach to the management of an organization to consistently satisfy customers and other stakeholders.
The 2015 revision of the ISO 9001 standard ensures its relevance in the modern workplace and improves its compatibility with other management systems. The revision unifies the high-level structure with that of other standards, making integration of additional systems simpler. Other changes to the standard include adding emphasis on risk-based thinking as well as measurement and monitoring of process inputs and outputs.
