Poseidon is pleased to be exhibiting at the 2017 Department of the Navy Forum for SBIR/STTR transition. The forum runs April 3-5 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, in National Harbor, Maryland and is designed to connect SBIR/STTR-funded technologies with warfighters, government acquisition and technical personnel, large primes, system integrators, and other potential partners/collaborators.   On Tuesday, April 4, Poseidon’s Vice President of Engineering, Ryan Brewer, will be presenting the result of Poseidon’s Phase II SBIR contract award through the U.S. Marine Corps.  Under the contract, Poseidon developed a tactical vehicle weight and center-of-gravity sensing system. The system, developed in conjunction with Dr. Agamemnon Crassidis of the Rochester Institute of Technology, uses low-cost sensors and advanced processing algorithms to determine a vehicle’s weight and center-of-gravity in near time during operation. Ultimately, this technology will reduce the roll-over risk and increase the safety of operation of military ground vehicles.
